BGSU Online Experience

Online courses at BGSU begin and end on the semester schedule and assignments and tests have specific deadlines. Although you do not have to travel to campus to attend courses, you must log in often to stay on track with due dates and to successfully complete each course.

Master of Science in Criminal Justice

Bowling Green State University's Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) program emphasizes the development of individuals for leadership roles in criminal justice agencies, while providing those students who wish to continue their academic career with a solid base upon which to pursue doctoral level study. It is also excellent preparation for those who wish to pursue a career in teaching and instills a solid background in both theory and research, which prepares our graduates to better understand the challenges facing them as participants in the criminal justice field. Through the MSCJ program, you will obtain a solid understanding of theories and issues in law enforcement, corrections, courts and juvenile justice. To successfully complete the program, you will take 11 courses and complete a final capstone project. BGSU is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.
